Who we are
CheckAm is a platform that lets Patients find independent Labs, book tests, pay, follow visit progress and access results. Otichi Innovations Limited operates CheckAm. Labs are separate organisations and CheckAm does not perform laboratory tests.
Information we handle
- Account and profile: email, name, phone, date of birth, sex, address and next-of-kin details you provide.
- Bookings: selected Lab and tests, appointment, Visit Code and workflow status.
- Payments: amount, status and Paystack provider references. CheckAm does not store full card numbers.
- Results: structured values, Lab reports and related notes.
- Support: tickets, disputes and reviews you submit.
- Location (optional): your approximate location after you allow it, only while using nearby-Lab features. CheckAm does not collect background location. You can still browse and book without granting location access.
How information is used and shared
We use this information to provide secure accounts, bookings, payments, Lab visits, results and support. Relevant booking information is shared with the Lab you choose. Supabase provides authentication, database and private file storage; Resend delivers service emails; and Paystack processes payments and refunds.
Health information and sharing
Laboratory results are sensitive health information. Access is limited by account and workspace permissions. Report download links are time-limited. A Patient may create an opaque, time-limited result-sharing link and revoke it at any time.
Retention and deletion
You can initiate account deletion in the CheckAm app. Certain transaction, clinical and audit records may need to be retained where applicable legal, clinical or business obligations require it. Records independently held by a Lab or Paystack are governed by those organisations.
